Common Issues
🔑 License key not working
Make sure you're entering the key exactly as received — no extra spaces. If you get "already activated on another device," email support@getkovapos.com to transfer your license.
🖨 Printer not printing
Go to Back Office → Hardware → Printer & Receipt. Check that your printer IP address is correct. For USB printers, make sure the driver is installed. Try the Test Print button.
💳 Card reader not connecting
For USB readers, unplug and replug. For PAX terminals, verify the IP address in Back Office → Hardware → Printer. Make sure KovaPay is activated under Back Office → Payments.
📋 Menu items not showing
Go to Back Office → Menu & Pricing. Check that your categories and items have "Active" enabled. Items must be assigned to a category that is also active.
🖥 Customer display not working
Go to Back Office → Hardware → Customer Display. Click "Test Display" to run diagnostics. Make sure your second monitor is set to "Extend" in Windows Display Settings (not Duplicate).
💰 KovaPay enrollment issues
Visit getkovapos.com/kovapay/enroll.html to enroll. For payout or account questions, email support@getkovapos.com with your KovaPay Merchant ID.

Yes. You pay once — $799 for Pro or Lifetime — and that's it. No monthly subscription, no per-transaction software fee, no hidden charges. KovaPay processing is 3.0% + $0.05 per card transaction, which is standard industry rate with no added software markup.
All your data is stored locally on your Windows device at C:\Users\[You]\AppData\Local\KovaPOS\kova.db — you own it completely. You can export it anytime from Back Office → Reports. TNZ Productions never holds your data hostage.
Each terminal requires its own license. Additional terminals at the same location are available at a discounted rate — contact sales@getkovapos.com for multi-terminal pricing. Enterprise and franchise plans include volume discounts.
Yes — core POS functions (taking orders, printing receipts, opening the cash drawer) work offline. Card processing through KovaPay requires internet. Kova queues orders when offline and syncs when reconnected.
Email support@getkovapos.com with your license key and we'll deactivate the old machine and reactivate on the new one. Lifetime licenses include one free hardware transfer.
KovaPay works with most PAX terminals (A920, A35, A80) and USB card readers that aren't locked to Square, Toast, or Clover. Visit getkovapos.com/kovapay for the full hardware compatibility list.
Standard payout schedule is 1–2 business days after transaction settlement. Your first payout may take 7–10 days while your account is being verified. Payout timing is controlled by Stripe and your bank.
